Jane used to bring her 3 children to fencing and finally decided to have a go herself at the age of 38.

She did a beginners course with Dick Richards and joined the Club.

She tried foil and epee but soon settled on sabre as her preferred weapon.

She is now a self-confessed "fencing junkie" and competes in every competition she can find.

She is the GB Veterans champion and veterans Commonwealth champion. She won a Bronze medal in the European championships and will fence in the veterans World Championship.
